FAQ’s

  • What is the difference between an ‘aromatherapy oil’ and an ‘essential oil’?
An ‘aromatherapy oil’ is usually a 2% dilution of essential oil in 98% carrier oil. On the other hand, ‘essential oils’ are undiluted products that have been extracted from flowers, herbs, leaves and other parts of the plant. They are used in small quantity. Superior quality essential oils are expensive as producing them is very labour intensive.
  • How should Sleepy nights oil be stored?
Sleepy nights oil is packed in dark glass bottles so as to minimise the effect of heat, sunlight and water on the oil. It should be stored in a cool dark place.
  • Can I use Sleepy nights oil directly on my skin straight out of the bottle?
The oils in the bottle are concentrated and should not be applied directly off the bottle. It is recommended to dilute it by blending a few drops with a carrier oil like almond oil or jojoba oil. They carry the essential oil safely onto your skin and help you spread it over a large surface area.
  • Can I use roll-on the applicator of Sleepy nights oil directly on my skin?
Yes, the roll-on applicator can safely be used on the temples, wrist or neck. It can also be rubbed on the soles of the feet after you wash them at bedtime.
  • Is the Sleepy nights oil edible?
Sleepy nights oil is a mixture of concentrated essential oils. If ingested, these concentrated oils could lead to potential damage to the body. It is strongly advised not to ingest it orally.
